Today, in Inalcotrends, we present Dune House, a refurbishment project by Ruben Muedra Architects’ Studio, where various MDi collections by Inalco have been used to give a new lease of life to this seafront villa and help it blend into the natural surroundings.

Ruben Muedra Architects’ Studio had one clear goal in mind in the refurbishment of this over 80-year-old home: to integrate it into the background setting so that the home, the dunes on the beach and the sea blend in with one another. Thanks to the project, all its rooms benefit from more natural light and the villa has been equipped with the latest technology to ensure greater privacy, more comfort and easier living.

The Petra collection by Inalco was chosen as the general floor covering throughout, linking up its indoor and outdoor areas. Thanks to its non-slip properties, Petra has also been used for the poolside. Its creamy colour and limestone texture emulate the sand on the beach, giving all the different spaces a more natural appeal.
The layout of the interiors was totally revamped to take full advantage of each of its living spaces.

The kitchen, dining room and living room were merged into one big diaphanous open space, whose big glass windows open out onto the swimming pool. Sliding panels are used to seal off different living spaces to guarantee a greater sense of privacy and seclusion.
The home’s interiors echo the white walls of its façade, only interrupted by the big walnut blocks of its free-standing cupboards in the living room and kitchen. White’s purity and luminosity have also been extended to the kitchen island, where the Touché MDi iTOP collection was used.
The bedrooms are all outward facing, affording greater luminosity and breath-taking views, with the main bedroom looking across the dunes toward the sea.
Ruben Muedra Architects’ Studio has breathed new life into a home conspicuous for its top-quality amenities, bringing its owners into closer proximity with the natural surroundings in a villa that illustrates the true value of creativity.
