Hotel Spa Porta Maris & Suites del Mar, a four-star hotel complex with striking panoramic sea views, is superbly located between Postiguet beach and Alicante yacht marina.
The fifth floor of the building and suite 431 were recently fully refurbished by architects’ studio Mac Interiorismo. In both cases, the MDi Masai Blanco Plus series by Inalco was chosen as the main wall and floor covering for the bedrooms and communal areas in its two finishes (natural and bush-hammered).
Priority was given to spaciousness, functionality and elegance in the redesign of these areas so as to ensure “a sensory experience”, in the words of the architects’ studio.
The beauty and natural appeal of the MDi Masai collection by Inalco act as a linking thread in this simple elegant architectural project, made up of spacious luminous living spaces, with the sea’s presence as the common denominator.
The rooms and suites can be divided into different areas using big operable partitions, integrated in the walls in chameleonic style. They can be used to open up or close off different areas as guests wish.
The architects’ studio added that the secret to the project’s success was the generation of a certain aesthetic language in combination with a select use of materials, leading to the creation of modern settings with a timeless allure.
