Undoubtedly, innovation is part of our DNA. Today on Inalcotrends we show you one of the most innovative projects in Europe in the nautical sector, where MDi by Inalco has been placed: Marina Vela Barcelona.
With a wide variety of 5-star services, innovative facilities and an excellent location (close to the beach, the city center and the most popular anchorages in the Mediterranean) Marina Vela is a unique base port.
Marina Vela has a state-of-the-art fully automated dry-dock with capacity for 222 vessels. The first time a vessel accesses the marina, the system memorizes its characteristics, so that from then on the process is 100% automated. When a boat arrives, robotic arms place it in a canal, the hull is automatically cleaned to avoid damage and it is transported along some tracks to its storage place, also adapted to its measurements to make the most of the space. This process, which only takes between 5 and 8 minutes, is unique in Europe, enhancing the exclusivity of Marina Vela and providing a great added value to the port of Barcelona.
In the common areas of Marina Vela, Inalco’s Foster collection in large format and Black color fits perfectly with the exclusivity requirements of the project. At a technical level, its resistance to ultraviolet rays, thermal contrasts or scratching, make it the ideal material to cover the facades of the building.
