Àgora València opens its doors to the public

Inauguración Agora Valencia

This week, the Àgora València project was presented to members of the international press at a private press conference. Some 70 journalists from media companies worldwide attended the conference in this architectural space last Monday, given by the main bodies in charge of the project.

Spokespersons for WDC Valencia 2022, Inalco, Wandegar, Arqueha and architect Miguel Arraiz explained the initiative and outlined the process of Àgora València’s design and construction.

On Thursday June 16th, the project was officially opened at an act in which representatives of different public authorities and institutions took part. From now on, Àgora València will act as a hub for activities held within the framework of World Design Capital Valencia 2022 and as a central point to get to know the very best of Valencian design.

From June 22nd through to December, the pavilion, which is now open to the public, will host exhibitions of design plans, conferences and professional get-togethers. Àgora València will then move to Valencia’s future Design District in La Marina.

This architecture exhibition brings talent and creativity to the heart of Valencia so that all those who are interested can gain a better insight into all walks of design. It is also important to note that, from inside Àgora Valencia, marvellous views of adjacent emblematic buildings are afforded, such the City Hall or Bank of Valencia.

All this is possible thanks to Àgora València’s structural design and the positioning of the MDi sheets, arranged perpendicularly so that light filters through them to become yet another feature of this space.

Lastly, on June 29th, Industrial Design Day will be held: a night-time event where light will also feature prominently, with the official inauguration of a light display.

Don’t forget to visit Àgora Valencia and enjoy all the activities and get-togethers that are held there.
