Mahe, an exclusive villa beside Elche palm grove

Mahe is a villa located in one of the Alicante region’s most exclusive unique areas, beside Palmeral de Elche, a palm grove designated a World Heritage Site. The Petra collection by Inalco plays a prominent role in the villa’s interiors.

Mac Interiorismo, the architects’ studio in charge of the project, describes the villa as a space where everything can be opened up or closed. Thanks to a system of operable partitions, running from the floor to the ceiling, Mahe can be divided into varying dynamic spaces, ranging from ones that offer total privacy to a diaphanous open-plan home.

Petra was chosen as the main flooring throughout the villa and for the walls of its bathrooms due to the tiles’ warmth and beauty. Petra’s whimsical veins and relief pattern add a charming feel to the home in combination with its white walls.

The main nucleus of the villa is its open-plan living and kitchen area. This features a large kitchen island, separated by some of the furniture, clad with Ice iTOP to ensure added spacious luminosity.

Ramón Martínez, the architect in charge of the project, described how they had managed to achieve a space with a unique, stylish, restful feel through its layout, the design of some of the furniture, soothing materials, and lots of finer details in the form of mouldings, wood, materials by Inalco, fabrics and paintings, in combination with solid monochrome colours.
