Francesc Rifé chooses the Iseo collection by Inalco in the design of Power Electronics’ new offices

In our minds, we tend to associate big spaces with a series of connotations that have nothing to do with reality. Inevitably, they are thought to be cold, although this is not always the case.

At Francesc Rifé Studio, the architects’ studio commissioned with the design of Power Electronics‘ new head offices, this is all too clear to them, since far from being cold, this 12,000m2 space stands out for its warm, human feel.

In an approach that moves “from a large scale to a balanced eye for detail”, the studio focused on creating a spacious building with the watchwords on convivial comfort and attention to detail.

In each of the rooms, the Iseo collection–with a design inspired by natural materials in their purest of states–is combined with other materials like wood or plants to create a warm, cosy atmosphere. Natural light pours into each and every corner of the offices, helping to generate the warmth that is so necessary in today’s modern workplace.

Power Electronics’ new head offices may stand in an imposing building, but this modern workplace still manages to offer staff the benefit of a welcoming backdrop where they can actually feel at home in the office.
